Dr. Tummala is a national expert in Vascular Disease & Amputation Prevention with 20 years of experience. Prior to founding Florida Vascular Specialists, he was the Director of Vascular Disease and Amputation Prevention at the University of Miami Health System. To date, Dr. Tummala has treated thousands of patients with vascular disease using proven cutting edge therapies.

He has published numerous articles for major journals including Seminars in Vascular Surgery, Journal of Clinical Medicine, Seminars in Interventional Radiology, Techniques in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, as well as book chapters in Limb Preservation for the Vascular Specialist: From Wound Care to Wound Closure, Current Techniques in Vascular Surgery, and Paul & Juhl's Essentials of Radiologic Imaging.

He routinely makes media appearances discussing topics related to peripheral artery disease/critical limb ischemia, has successfully organized local and national vascular meetings, and given presentations and moderated live cases at national/international meetings including New Cardiovascular Horizons (NCVH), Arch Complex Revascularization Symposium, New York Endovascular Summit (NYEVS), Multidisciplinary CLI Network (MCLIN), Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR), SIR LEARN, and Evolution Miami.

Dr. Tummala is dedicated to educating and training our next generation of vascular experts and is very active in the training of medical students, residents, and vascular fellows. He is Chair of the CLI Global Society Education Committee and the SIR Education Representative for the PAD council. Dr. Tummala also leads a variety of training courses on minimally invasive vascular treatments for practicing doctors from all over the United States. Recently he started Dr. Tummala’s Vascular Channel on YouTube to help educate our next generation of vascular experts.

Dr. Tummala is an active member of the CLI Global Society, Society of Vascular Medicine, MCLIN, The International Society of Endovascular Specialists (ISEVS), and SIR with research interests in peripheral arterial disease and critical limb ischemia.
